Welcome!
I am Janelle Chu Capwell Giles (she/they), and I am a disabled writing studies scholar, former writing center tutor, and current disability services access consultant. I am currently a PhD Candidate within the University of Arizona Rhetoric, Composition, and the Teaching of English program.

My research focuses on accessible pedagogy, accommodations for student-workers, disability justice through an intersectional lens, audism, Hard of Hearing identity formation, CART Captioning, and disability-focused archival rhetorics. The goal of my work is to make meaning, learn, and build opportunities out of disabled and (other) marginalized experiences in higher education to increase access and understanding for students, staff, and faculty alike.
